Jason Morais

President, Partner

Jason is the President and co-founder of Covehead Bay Capital and has over 10 years experience as an entrepreneur. Jason previously practiced law at a major Charlottetown firm, where he specialized in corporate transactions, real estate, civil litigation, as well as family and criminal law. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (First Class Standing) from the University of Prince Edward Island, and a Juris Doctor from Bond University. Jason enjoys playing sports including hockey and golf, and spending time with his family.

Stephen Murphy

Partner

Stephen is a co-founder of Covehead Bay Capital and has over 30 years experience as an entrepreneur. Stephen spent 22 years as owner / operator of his own 14 unit restaurant group in the Ottawa Area. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Prince Edward Island and is a Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator and has extensive experience working with companies on mergers and acquisitions. Stephen enjoys playing golf and travelling with his family.

Kevin Murphy

Partner

Kevin is a co-founder of Covehead Bay Capital, and is the acting Chairman and Co-founder of the Murphy Hospitality Group with operations throughout Atlantic Canada. He has over 45 years experience as an entrepreneur, operating various companies in the following sectors: Restaurants, Accommodations, Craft Beer Brewery, and Events. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Prince Edward Island. Kevin enjoys sports, travelling, and spending time with his family. In 2021, Kevin and his wife Kathy were named to the Order of Canada for their leadership in conservation and tourism, as well as their mentorship of entrepreneurs.
